Dorothy House Hospice Care
Unit 14 -16
Clearing out your wardrobe? Getting rid of the contents of the attic? The Dorothy House shop welcomes good quality clothes, books, china, bric-a-brac, toys, home furnishings and jewellery to to fund its charity work and donations are always welcome.
Its shops rely heavily on volunteers to staff them and without their time, energy and commitment, less money would be available for our free patient services.
Dorothy House is the local hospice charity for Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire and Somerset, giving free high-quality care and support to people with life-limiting illness.
The Dorothy House Foundation was set up in 1976, based at the Bath home of its founder Prue Dufour (formerly Clench) a woman of vision, determination and deep faith, who saw a need for care of terminally ill patients in their community, rather than in hospital. The hospice is now based at Winsley, near Bradford on Avon.
